Why did you apply for the APSI National Team?

I have gained a lot from the Snowsports industry over the last 10 years. I applied for the APSI National Team as I saw a great opportunity to give back to the community that has given me so much.

Being a part of the National Team gives me the opportunity to help evolve our models, frameworks and content so that our members have the tools they need to do an outstanding job anywhere within the industry.

The chance to provide inspiration to our members is also really important to me. I have always taken a lot of inspiration from our National Team members (and still do from my amazing team mates!), so if I can inspire at least one person to push themselves further than they ever thought they could go in this industry, that will make me happy.

What area of the APSI are you most interested in developing?

As a member of the last National Team I was heavily involved in developing our teaching model and frameworks.

I am really interested in understanding how humans learn, so pursuing this subject and how we can use this knowledge to improve our teaching is really exciting.

During our last term, the team investigated some really cool concepts like meshing teaching styles with stages of learning. It will be great to continue the development of these ideas and integrate them into our teaching system.

What do you hope to learn during your time on the APSI National team?

I'm hoping to learn a lot more about synchro skiing!

I hadn't done a whole lot of synchro prior to the last National Team and had to figure it out on the fly.
There were a lot of little nuances and details that go into making a good pass that I hadn't considered so I'm looking forward to diving into the details and understanding these better.
