It is with great sadness that we advise the passing of Keith Jephcott, Nordic Trainer, APSI Life member and Corryong High School Old Boy. Keith passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday 7th October, surrounded by his family and loved ones. A celebration of Keith's life will be held at 4pm on Thursday 13th October at Massaros, 360 Eltham-Yarra Glen Road, Kangaroo Ground 3097, all are welcome.

During the early days of COVID lockdowns, I was lucky enough to talk to Trace Cooke. Trace is a previous Freeride World Tour athlete, sponsored rider for Fischer, The North Face and Smith (as well as others) and has had roles in movies such as Return to Sender.

Last month, I was lucky enough to meet and ski with many of California's female ski patrollers, at the Western Female Ski Patrol Summit at Northstar Resort. The focus of our clinic was trying to ski more efficiently.

At the beginning of last season, the APSI was privileged to have Ruth Kennedy, Bachelor Exercise and Sports Science CQU, Snowboard Instructor and APSI Examiner takes us through a presentation focusing on the core. The core is the foundation of your Stance on your snowboard. In this video you will learn about planes of movement, how your core moves and how to structure your core workouts. Ruth has also put together a simple core workout that can be done in about 20 minutes and targets all the important muscle groups for a snowboarder. The season will be here before we know it!
