ALPINE LEVEL 2
The APSI Alpine level two qualification is aimed at core group lesson instructors that need to teach both beginner children and adults.
This qualification is suitable for working, level one certified instructors who wish to improve their skills and advance their teaching career.
COURSE
The four-day course covers the skills needed to teach beginner and lower intermediate classes up to steered parallel turns.
This course covers topics such as; class handling, safety, technical information, skier analysis, skiing and demonstrating ability all based around the performance of steering as used in our teaching system.
COURSE PREREQUISITES
EXAM
The two-day exam utilises both the station assessment type for skiing and demonstration tasks and the group scenario assessment type for teaching tasks.
There is an option to sit this exam at the early season exam in July and also again at the end of season exam in September. However, participation at multiple end of season exams is not permitted.
Example: a candidate cannot participate at the Victorian end of season exam, and then in the NSW end of season exam.
