SODERGREN SCHOLARSHIP

In 1997, we established the Sodergren scholarships in memory of Mike and Mim Sodergren, very well respected trainers/examiners that were tragically taken as a direct result of the Thredbo landslide. The Sodergren scholarship recognises the rising potential of snowsport instruction within our resorts and allows the recipients to further their professional development by providing all training free of charge for one season.

ONE SCHOLARSHIP IS OFFERED IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING DISCIPLINES:

  • Alpine
  • Snowboard
  • Other (nordic, telemark, adaptive)

APPLICATIONS WILL BE ASSESSED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

  • Commitment to education, training and accreditation
  • Professionalism
  • Contribution and service provided to the industry
  • Future direction and commitment to the industry

We understand that the traditional written application process, while great for many, does not showcase everyone's true talents and abilities. We will still accept written applications, however we also accept video applications for applicants to show why they should be awarded a scholarship and how they will use this opportunity to further their snowsport career.

ELIGIBILITY & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Members may only apply for the Sodergren Scholarship in one discipline
  • For your application to be considered for the upcoming winter season, applications must be received by April 30
