During the early days of COVID lockdowns, I was lucky enough to talk to Trace Cooke. Trace is a previous Freeride World Tour athlete, sponsored rider for Fischer, The North Face and Smith (as well as others) and has had roles in movies such as Return to Sender.

Trace gives us an insight into filming and the constant pull of social media for pro and up-and-coming skiers, insights into the mindset of competitive skiing and what it’s like at the start gate of a Freeride World Tour venue. We also chat about the benefits of learning from mistakes as well as the silver linings that can be found from COVID impacting winter plans.
