Applications will be assessed on the following criterion:
- Commitment to education, training and accreditation
- Professionalism
- Contribution and service provided to the industry
- Future direction and commitment to the industry
We understand that the traditional written application process, while great for many, does not showcase everyone's true talents and abilities. We will still accept written applications, however we also accept video applications for applicants to show why they should be awarded a scholarship and how they will use this opportunity to further their snowsport career.
Eligibility & Important Information
- Applicants must be a current financial member
- Members may only apply for the Sodergren Scholarship in one discipline
- For your application to be considered for the upcoming winter season, applications must be received by April 30
- The decision of the board of management is final and no correspondence will be entered into
- The successful applicants will be notified by the beginning of the winter season, the scholarship is current for that season only
- Applicants will be awarded marks out of five (5) based on each of the selection criterion, for a total of 20 marks
- The top 25% of applicants will be short-listed, following which we will contact referees and snowsport schools for a reference
