Welcome APSI Rookie Trainers

On Monday 1 June, APSI held the 2026 Alpine, Snowboard and Telemark Rookie Selection in Thredbo. We were thrilled to see so many applicants attend and were impressed by the strong calibre of candidates throughout the day.

The Rookie Selection day was designed to assess many aspects of what makes an effective APSI Trainer. Candidates were challenged through a range of projects and practical tasks that evaluated their technical knowledge, including Level 1 and Level 2 content, as well as their clinicing skills, presentation abilities, communication, leadership and team-building capabilities. The day provided a valuable opportunity for candidates to demonstrate not only their technical understanding, but also the interpersonal and teaching skills.

We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome the following APSI Rookie Trainers, who will continue through the Rookie Trainer pathway during the 2026 winter season:
