50yr Golden Gala Celebration
On September 14, Rydges Jindabyne hosted the APSI Gold Gala, marking the 50th anniversary of the Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors (APSI). The evening was masterfully led by Master of Ceremony, Matt Smith, who guided attendees through a celebration filled with stories and camaraderie.
Guest speakers Kerry Dodd, Tina Burford, and Andrew Rae shared their unique experiences within the APSI community, reflecting on the organization’s rich history and impact on the snowsport industry. A special video presentation chronicling the journey of the national team added a nostalgic touch to the festivities.
The gala was not just about celebration; it also aimed to support the current APSI National Team. Through lively auctions and raffles, attendees raised over $13,000, showcasing their commitment to the future of snowsports instruction in Australia.
The event would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors, including Alpine Sports, Ba.sic, Bolle, Bright Chalet, Cherry Pow Board Store, Elevate Physiotherapy, ESS Board Store, First Tracks, Gravity Jindabyne, Myoko Snowsports, Naked Optics, Nordica, PLAY Snowsports, Rydges, Snuxe, Sonos, Taronga Zoo, Kosciuszko Thredbo, Vail Resorts, Wildbrumby and Wilderness Sports. Their contributions helped make the evening a success, fostering a sense of community among those passionate about snowsports.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported the APSI in this milestone year!
