Congratulations to Everyone Who Took Part in the Early Season Alpine and Snowboard Exams

The 2026 Early Season Alpine and Snowboard Exams have once again showcased the dedication, professionalism and passion that exists within the Australian snowsports community.

This year's Alpine examinations were held at Falls Creek, while the Snowboard examinations took place at Mt. Hotham. APSI would like to extend our sincere thanks to both resorts for their outstanding support in hosting these important events. A special thank you goes to the Falls Creek Snowsports School and the Mt. Hotham Snowsports School teams, whose assistance and collaboration helped make the examinations possible.

To everyone who participated, congratulations on committing to your professional development. Preparing for an APSI examination requires significant time, effort and perseverance, and your willingness to continually improve your skills is a credit not only to yourselves, but also to your snowsports schools and the broader Australian snowsports industry. Every instructor who invests in developing their knowledge and technical ability contributes to delivering better experiences for guests and strengthening our profession as a whole.

We would also like to offer a special congratulations to those candidates who achieved success. Your hard work, commitment and determination have been rewarded, and this accomplishment represents an important milestone in your snowsports journey. We look forward to recognising all successful candidates in the list below.

A big thank you also goes to our examining staff, who demonstrated exceptional professionalism throughout the examinations. Despite the challenges presented by limited terrain and difficult early season conditions, they adapted their delivery while maintaining the high standards expected of APSI certifications. Their commitment ensured candidates were provided with a fair and safe examination experience.

For those who were not successful on this occasion, we encourage you to keep going. Many of our most accomplished instructors have experienced setbacks along their pathway, using them as opportunities to learn, refine their skills and return stronger. Every training session, lesson taught and day on snow builds valuable experience, and perseverance remains one of the most important qualities of a successful instructor.

Thank you again to everyone involved in making these early season examinations such a positive start to the winter. We wish all candidates every success for the remainder of the season and look forward to seeing your continued growth on snow.
