Huge Turnout at Early Season Exams!
APSI recently held its early season Alpine and Snowboard Level 2, 3, and 4 exams, marking a significant step in supporting instructor development. Traditionally, these exams allowed candidates to resit individual components of a previous exam. However, APSI was pleased to open the early season exams to first-time candidates at Levels 2 and 3, providing additional accreditation opportunities. This initiative helps Australian resorts secure more highly certified staff ahead of the busy winter season.
APSI is incredibly thankful to Perisher for hosting the exams during a hectic period, coinciding with Interschools competitions. Perisher's support ensured smooth operations despite the resort’s high demand.
This year’s turnout was exceptional, with nearly 100 instructors from across the country attending Level 2 and higher exams in Alpine and Snowboard disciplines. The strong participation highlights the snowsports industry’s commitment to professional development. Combined with the recent certification of 266 new Level 1 instructors in June, this momentum signals a promising future for the growth and excellence of snowsports instruction nationwide.
APSI is proud to provide these opportunities, helping members, Australian snowsports instructors, and resorts maintain and improve their teaching standards. By facilitating these exams, APSI plays a key role in strengthening the snowsports community across the country.
APSI would like to thank all who attended the exams and would like to recognise the following candidates on their success:
