OVERVIEW

The Beyond the Slopes Webcast Series is a brand-new inclusion with your APSI Membership, designed to bring high-quality education, inspiration and industry expertise directly to you, wherever you are in Australia or the world!

This 60-minute webcast hosted via Microsoft Teams will be conducted by Tom Hodges and is designed for instructors who wish to increase their confidence teaching students with common disabilities in everyday group lessons. Tom will discuss common conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and intellectual impairments, what they may look like on snow, and practical teaching strategies that improve learning and engagement.

The session will also cover simple tips and tricks, how to access and engage with Disability Winter Australia (DWA) resources, recognising when a student may benefit from an adaptive private lesson, and conclude with an interactive Q&A where participants can discuss real-life scenarios.
