The APSI National Team is one united team containing all snowsport disciplines including Alpine, Snowboard, Telemark, Nordic and Adaptive. This team is the 'think tank' of new ideas and development of our organisation.
The APSI National Team represents the association at the highest level of Snowsports instruction. A united team of leaders and motivators that develop Snowsports education in Australia.
Athleticism | Teamwork | Integrity | Passion | Open-minded
Your APSI National Team represents the APSI as leaders within the association and the Snowsports community. This group creates and share positive learning experiences with our members and grows enthusiasm and excitement for snow sports and our profession.
They evolve and consolidate modern snow sport teaching concepts, technical concepts, educational materials, on-snow skiing/riding mechanics and technique. The Team will also attend Interski in March 2023, to present the Australian method on the world stage and also gather valuable information to evolve our system. More information on Interski 2023 can be found here.
In December 2019, applications opened for selection of the 2020-2023 APSI National Team. First round applications were completed successfully, and a group of enthusiastic instructors were selected to progress to the on-snow selection scheduled for August 2020.
Unfortunately, with a world-wide pandemic prevented this selection from taking place. The Coaches pivoted to online tasks as well as group projects to develop and evolve the APSI moving forward. These projects included the review of APSI teach methods, technical approaches and customer service models. Despite not have a final team selected over these years, the function of the APSI National Team was achieved! This process produced a resilient group of leaders to help mould the APSI approach.
In August 2022, the final APSI National Team was selected at Thredbo resort. Check out your 2020-2023 APSI National Team below!
