	National Rookie Trainer Selection Trainers are selected each year in the week before June opening weekend. The location moves from year to year and coincides with the APSI trainer’s coordination . Selection is over a full day, all participants are expected to attend the following trainer’s coordination. Selection does not guarantee immediate inclusion as an APSI trainer; the first season is a combination training and continual assessment.  Prerequisites: Be a current APSI member Own the current APSI teaching manual Currently working for an Australian Snowsports School Passed all units of the APSI level 3 or equivalent Suggested reading: APSI Alpine teaching manual; All of section 1 (chapters 1,2&3) All of section 2 (chapters 4&5) All of section 3 All of chapter 7 All of chapter 8 Section 5 for general knowledge Appendices  Assessment guidelines: Anyone interested should contact Andrew at alpine@apsi.net.au to receive an outline on the content, location and date of the selection.
